The South End Neighborhood Association in partnership with The Light Factory are hosting the first ever, South End Outdoor Movie Night, “South End Cinema”, this Saturday night, June 23 starting at 5:30pm at the corner of Park Ave and Camden Rd. We will close Park Ave between Camden Rd and S Tryon Street to set up Food Trucks and Tailgating Games and will set up the movie screen in the vacant lot on the corner of Park Ave and Camden Rd. There will be some tables for eating but please bring your own blanket, bag chairs, etc to make for a fun evening for dinner and a movie.
We have 12 food trucks participating which is tremendous so make certain to come hungry and try a little from several of the trucks! Here are all the trucks so you can see if one of your favorites will be there: Auto Burger and Fry Guys, Napolitano’s, HMG Cart, Dan the Pig Man, Cupcake Delirium, Sticks and Cones, Goody Woody’s, The Tin Kitchen, Maki Taco, Southern Cake Queen, and The Culinary School of Charlotte.
The movie is Captain America, which is fitting since the Heroe’s Convention is in town this weekend. The movie will start once it gets dark enough so close to 8:30/9pm.
