Loving all the exposure Charlotte is getting as a result of DNC 2012! You may have already seen this piece but it was new to us so wanted to share. Many places are mentioned in the article written by Charlotte Magazine’s editor, Richard Thurmond. South End gets a mention under point number 3 “Charlotte’s two primary food groups are fried pickels and pimento cheese” where he calls out the pimento cheese at Common Market. They have been called out for a great place to grab a beer and now for pimento cheese. Don’t think these are the type items that might attract a visit from the First Lady but defintely the sort of things on The President’s list so maybe he’ll drop in. You can also see the first DNC branded beer from Mother Earth Brewing in Kinston, NC (available at CM). As was seen posted by Charlotte Beer, DNC stands for Drink North Carolina. Couldn’t agree more!
