The Common Market SouthEnd Soul Events

So many great events happening during the 5 days of South End Soul April 26-30 and the Common Market is taking it to new levels with some incredible events. Get your calendar, Blackberry, iPad or smart phone ready cause you want to make certain not to miss these:

Wednesday, April 27 6-8pm: Vinolympics

An al fresco wine tasting festival featuring vino from Spain, France, Italy, Argentina and the U.S. with wine, games and prizes to boot!

Thursday, April 28 6-8pm: Kakalaka FREE Beer Tasting

Stop in before Pecha Kucha Night Vol. 8 and sample Carolina brews and get $1 off drafts.

Friday, April 29 7:30-9am: Art in the A.M.

A breakfast and art experience featuring poet Melissa Harris & music by Brass Construction, an intergenerational brass band following the soul and shout tradition. Hosted by Q and sponsored by Crossroad Connections.

Friday, April 29 6pm – midnight: SouthEnd SoulTrain

Kick off the weekend on the CM patio with a “history of soul” set by DJ Matt Van Dam and live music by indie rockers Little Bull Lee.

Saturday, April 30 8pm until: Sexy Power Party

Get your Sexy Power On and celebrate our 2 year anniversary with a crazy night of fire twirling, drag fashion, go-go dances and sexy-sexy music.

Sunday, May 1 – 11am-2pm: Xylophone Brunch

Join us for brunch and mimosas on the patio. Featuring vegan and meat-friendly specials and everyone’s favorite xylophone music!
