Twitter Resources for #DNC2012

South End is one of the more social media savvy neighborhoods in Charlotte. The people who live, work and play in South End are also tweeting, liking, posting, instagramming and pinning. As many folks are about to descend upon Charlotte for the Democratic National Convention, we’ve put togther a Twitter Resource List for most common Hashtags, Local Charlotte Media, Local Charlotte Folks and DNC Related Twitter Accounts that will help you navigate the Charlotte Twitterverse.  If you see something that needs to be corrected or clarified, let us know. If there is something we have left off or you think should be added please share.

Hashtags (DNC and Charlotte):

#DNC2012 – “the widely used shorthand for Democratic National Convention 2012. And the main hashtag of use.” (thank you @CBJgreennews)

#DNC – Democratic National Committee. The Democratic National Committee plans the Party’s quadrennial presidential nominating convention; promotes the election of Party candidates with both technical and financial support; and works with national, state, and local party organizations, elected officials, candidates, and constituencies to respond to the needs and views of the Democratic electorate and the nation.

#DNCC – Democratic National Convention Committee. DNCC is the official arm of the Democratic National Committee responsible for planning and organizing the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte.

#DNCdelegate – Tag DNC Delegates will be using

#NCDNCNorth Carolina Delegation hashtag. Follow @YDNC the olded young democrat organization in the country.

#POTUS – President of the United States of America

#FLOTUS – First Lady of the United States of America

#CLT and #Charlotte – most commonly used tags for Charlotte, NC

#theppl -The PPL is located at Packard Place, a startup incubator in uptown Charlotte. We have over 20,000 sq. ft. of coworking and event space, just a few blocks from the DNC’s two primary convention venues: Bank of America Stadium and Time Warner Cable Arena. See for yourself!     • Thanks for those and will make the additions. I’ve added the Twitter account for CLTFAQ but not adding the hashtag as my goal for this list was to capture the local hashtags that have been in existence long before the DNC was coming to town. Appreciate the recommendations and will let you know once added.
