A Holiday Open House Unlike Any Other

South End is full of hidden treasures and one that I’m willing to guess you aren’t aware of is the Dilworth Artisan Station (DAS). Don’t let the name fool you…it is actually in South End although technically what runs up to the light rail tracks on the east side was Dilworth, hence the name. If you take Kingston Ave from South Blvd you’ll dead end into the light rail tracks but you’ll find yourself at the entrance for the DAS. It’s a three story building that has lots of studio spaces and showrooms for artists, interior designers,¬†sculptures…artisans. The building is typically closed to the public all year but on the December Gallery Crawl they open the doors with an incredible Holiday Open House. You can explore the studios, sip on wine, nibble some refreshments and wander through this old building, exploring the creative works from over 25 artisans.

Since I first attended three years ago, I have made it a point to never miss and hope you will come check out the Dilworth Artisan Station Holiday Open House this Friday, December 7th from 6-9pm. This event will be part of many events happening throughout South End as part of First Friday Gallery Crawl. Enjoy some of my photos from past events and look forward to seeing you!
