First off, there are a lot more wonderful neighborhoods in Charlotte than the Creative Loafing Poll allows you to vote for which is a shame. While we can’t change those constraints, I wanted to give you a quick 31 reasons to help sway you to vote for South End as “Charlotte’s Hood of the Year”.

  2. We’re planning on attending Food Truck Friday & Art Crawl this Friday. My question is: What light rail stop do we get off at if we’re coming from the 485 station and heading north into Charlotte? Also do the Food Trucks provide a place to seat down and eat or do we have to stand or should we being our own chairs? Thanks Bob

    • So glad you’ll be joining us Friday! The Bland Light Rail Station is the closest. When you exit the light rail at Bland walk toward the Trolley Museum and through a little plaza toward the street. That road is Camden Rd…you’ll know it by the multi colored zip ties on the light posts. The food trucks are set up about half a block south at the corner of Camden and Park. We have some limited seating we provide…6 biergarden tables that seat about 8 folks each. If you are here early enough you can try to grab a seat but to be safe, it’s always best to bring a blanket or bag chair if you can. That’s what most folks do and makes for a fun hang out. Let me know if you have other questions and look forward to having you all.

  3. #35. Home to Groundcrew Recording Studios. Where many of your favorite national commercials are voiced and dialog for movies replaced or “looped.”
